Oxford Brookes University is a university located in Oxfordshire, England. There is no direct connection with the University of Oxford. Oxford Brookes University was formerly the Polytechnic in Oxford. Like most British polytechnics, it was officially upgraded to a university in 1992, but its history can be traced back to the 19th century. The university was named in memory of former president John Henry Brooks, who did a lot of basic work for the university during his tenure and made important contributions to the future development of the university. Oxford Brookes University has been described by The Guardian as one of the best new universities. The university has been selected as the best new university by The Times for ten consecutive years. The university is known for its creativity and practicality. It also has a good network in various industries, with an employment rate of over 90%, and 94% of its academic research has reached world level (REF 2014 ).
Oxford Brookes University's architecture, real estate management, urban planning, surveying and history are of higher quality than other disciplines. In fact, the School of Architecture is one of the largest schools of architecture in the UK and is often ranked among the top five schools of its kind in the UK. . Among the medical disciplines, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, etc., it is also ranked fifth in the UK.
